We love photo sessions with families on vacation in the city. After over 15 years photographing families here, we know exactly where to take you for photos that scream “we had the best time in New York.”

Hey, I’m Mariliana
I founded Stylish & Hip Kids Photography (SHK) in 2010 after years shooting weddings and editorial work. Families felt different—more alive, more interesting to document.
I’m also deep into children’s literature (I completed a certification program and run the best book kids club) and ran Akadequi, a series of events that combined artistic creation, recycled materials, family, and public spaces. Photography, storytelling, art-making—they’re all connected for me. SHK sits at the center of this larger creative exploration.
In 2023, our family moved to Spain, embarking on a new adventure, and SHK expanded to have a team of photographers in NYC. Bringing on the team pushed us to define what SHK really is and added more perspectives and more creative energy, all unified by the same vision. I return twice a year to touch base with my photographers while we grow SHK in Europe.
